Rick
Johnson
Rick is the founding principal of Rick Johnson & Associates,
which is dedicated to helping discover and develop "The Winning
Service Attitude" in people and organizations. Rick strongly
believes every organization must focus on creating value for its
customers and create a desire within its people to want to exceed
the needs and expectations of their customers. He initiated this
management consulting practice after nearly 30 years of line and
staff management experience. He has held senior responsibility in
general operations, human resources and internal consulting. The
focus of his work is on the application of proven customer service
performance principles in the context of organizations, which are
attempting to recreate themselves by improving performance and profitability.
Rick Johnson is an experienced and world renowned speaker, who has
presented to hundreds of companies over a 15 year period.
Rick is a leader in the SIPSI Executive Programs and is known throughout
Scandinavia and the rest of Europe for his hundreds of presentations
on: Quality Service, People Management, Creativity and Winning Service
Attitudes.
Together with SIPSI, Rick has been participating in about 20 "Scandinavian
Tours" and has presented to organizations as: Ericsson, Telia,
IFL, TAC, Electrolux, IBM, Elmia, Scandic Hotels, Vattenfall, KF
etc.
Prior to starting his own enterprise, RicK Johnson was Vice President
of Human Resources and Quality for SpectaGuard and Vice President
of Organization Development for Spectacor. He led the Spectacor"s
Quality Group, which saw as its mission to provide internal consulting
services and improve the performance of the various Spectacor entities:
Philadelphia Flyers Ice Hockey Team, The Spectrum Arena, The Core
States Center, SpecAthlete Showcase Stores, SpectaGuard, WIP All
Sports Radio, Ticketmaster, SMG, and Network International. This
was accomplished through planned systematic change focused on exceeding
customer expectations.
Prior to joining Spectacor in 1991, Rick was 20 year cast member
of the Walt Disney World Resort. During this tenure there, he was
Front Desk Manager of Disney's Contemporary Resort and Manager of
Disney University, which covered internal training and development,
employee communications, as well as employee social and recreational
area of the organization. Later in his Disney career, Rick initiated
a proposal for, managed, and presented business seminars to hundreds
of companies and organizations wishing to benefit from the Disney
Approach to Creatity, Quality Service and People Management.
Rick Johnson holds an Executive MBA and a Bachelor of Science degree
in Business Administration and Economics from Rollins College in
Winter Park, Florida. He additionally holds an Associate of Science
degree in Hotel, Motel and Restaurant Management from Valencia Community
College in Orlando, Florida.
